Jackie’s journey in yoga began as a teenager in 1998, as a complimentary activity to the world of competitive cheerleading and gymnastics. It provided enough strength and concentration, as well as flexibility to boost her performance in her other activities. It was there, on her mat where she was able to break away from the competition and find focus on the more spiritual side of Yoga. She continued on this path to her mat daily through college which carried on to her years in nursing school.
Jackie earned her 220 hr. Yoga Certification from KYS Trainings/kRtajJatA Yoga School. In college, she started with majoring in Biology and then went into nursing She currently is an emergency room nurse and a mother of two, young children. As a medical professional, Jackie likes to focus on anatomy and correct alignment as well as a physical challenge and a holistic approach to the yoga practice. Jackie loves to “fly”, practicing arm balances and inversions are her favorite.
