Rachelle’s yoga journey began in Wilmington, North Carolina with Kristen Cooper as her first teacher. Kristen’s gentle and calming energy made it easy to fall in love with yoga. For Rachelle, it was a gift to learn breath work and mind-body connection and these gifts soon became an important part Rachelle’s life.
Her Journey continued in Wilmington at Porters Neck Yoga, where she practiced with her beautiful yoga family under owners/teachers and sisters Kirsten and Monique Mueller as well as close friend, Stephanie Neighbour.
When Rachelle moved from Wilmington to Raleigh six years ago, she prayed to find a similar yoga/family practice setting and found it at Gratitude Hot Yoga Center under the owner, Andrea Sewitsky. It was at Gratitude’s school of yoga krtajJTa that she completed her 220 hour training. Rachelle is forever grateful for her inspiring teachers, Andrea Sewitsky, Jackie Mastro, and Deana Faggart.
Rachelle believes that time spent practicing yoga strengthens and beautifies the balance between mind, body and spirit and that placing the focus on living your yoga leads to a healthier and happier lifestyle.
Her goal as a teacher is to create a gentle and comfortable environment where acceptance and non-judgment abound.
Rachelle has a BS in Elementary Education and a concentration in Early Childhood Development from East Carolina University. She has completed level one and two degrees in Reiki. She plans to continue to grow with her yoga education forevermore.
Rachelle enjoys spending time traveling and exploring the outdoors with her loving husband and precious children.
She considers it a blessing that she is able to practice yoga and and honored to be a guide for others during this beautiful yoga journey.
